It’s time!! The 30 day fitness challenge for July concentrates on our thighs 🙂 Not to get a ‘thigh gap’ by any means but to have nice strong legs to chase our kids around…or any sort of chasing, racing or pacing you may do!

As usual with my monthly fitness challenges there is no equipment needed!! These exercises can easily be done in your livingroom 🙂
The 4 exercises in this challenge are (1) lateral lunges Standing upright and then lunging with one leg out to the side slightly in front. Be careful to keep your knee at about a 90 degree angle and the knee directly above your ankle. (2) scissors Lay on your back lifting legs up at the hip to form a 90 degree angle with your body. Lower legs down to a wide v and then raise them back up crossing them like a scissor at the top. For extra challenge and AB strength hold your legs out in front of you at a 45 degree angle and then scissor. (3) Fire Hydrant Kneel on all fours and then lift one leg up just like (yep you get the picture a dog and a fire hydrant) repeat on both sides the amount of reps for the day. (4) Plie squat pulses. stand with feet about shoulder width apart, bend knees into a plié. Hold and hen pulse (lite bounces) for added calf workout you can lift up on to your toes.
